Meet Dr. tawadrous

Dr. Anthony Tawadrous, best known as “Dr. Anthony”, grew up in Rockledge, Florida. As a native of Brevard, he attended Cocoa Beach Junior/Senior High School and participated in the International Baccalaureate Program. While a high school student, Dr. Tawadrous was dual enrolled at Eastern Florida State College and was able to complete enough credits to skip the first year of College when he enrolled as a Sophomore at The University of Central Florida. Dr. Tawadrous graduated in 3 years with honors from UCF where he participated in dental and non-dental community service including working with the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen and performing dental screenings for Special Olympic athletes. During these screenings his interest in Pediatric Dentistry began.

Dr. Tawadrous attended LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. During this time he enjoyed participating in "Give Kids a Smile" events and served as Vice President of the Dental Anesthesia Club. After earning his Doctorate of Dental Medicine he went straight into Pediatric Dentistry residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA where he treated over 100 surgical cases of extreme dental trauma and special needs dental treatment. He helped the local community also by serving on the Ronald McDonald Dental Bus - a free clinic visiting many of Philly's schools. Of course, Dr. Tawadrous enjoyed all that Philly offered including Cheesesteak Sandwiches. Dr. Tawadrous earned his Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and is a Board Eligible Pediatric Dentist.

Dr. Tawadrous and his wife Marina, also a dentist, live in Rockledge with their new baby Theodore who keeps them very busy. Together, they love to travel and spend time at their church where he is a Sunday School Teacher. Dr. Tawadrous loves fishing and watching the Lakers win basketball games. He is looking forward to meeting you and your children and is committed to providing compassionate care tailored to each child’s needs in a fun and comfortable environment.

Prevention is the key to good oral hygiene! At Smile City Pediatric Dentistry, we strive to provide a fun, educational environment to set your child up for a lifetime of healthy habits. We recommend early dental visits to help families understand how diet, brushing and flossing all contribute to good oral health.

Restorative

Dentistry

If signs of dental decay are noted, we are committed to discussing all options and answering all questions prior to treatment. We have multiple options available, including ways to stop or slow the progression of the decay for smaller cavities. In the event a filling or crown is recommended.

ORTHODONTIC

TREATMENT

Orthodontic treatment options can be discussed with you by Dr. Tawadrous if needed. He is qualified to treat many developing and established orthodontic problems. He can advise and assist you if referral to an orthodontic specialist is the best option.

While our goal is to prevent dental emergencies, we understand that the need for urgent dental care is sometimes necessary and can be a stressful experience for both parents and children. We strive to handle dental emergencies promptly and with compassion.
